Marshall TSL601

$0.00

Three channels of Marshall Metal Mayhem! Loved by some, dissmissed by a fair few, we feel that the Marshall TSL 601 never really got a fair crack.

Outshone by it’s JCM stablemate, the DSL, & tarnished with the bias issues that all the early 2000 series suffered from, the TSL was replaced by the JVM series for all things high gain.

However, we reckon we can get this baby back into tip-top condition & fix some of the niggles (flubby bass, fizzy highs) with a bit of a rebuild and revoice.

We’ll give it the usual T&T rebuild, so new Nichicon filter caps in the power section, upgrade the components in the signal path, and upgrade all of the high voltage/current resistors/capacitors.

Once we’re done rebuilding we’ll trial a few replacement speakers to replace the stock Celestion Wolverine, and spend some time investigating how we can tighten it’s tone and turn this TSL into a worthy amp for the Metal Gods!!!!
