The small print. But in big.
14 day low quibble return
Sometimes it just doesn’t work out. You try the amp, you buy the amp, you play the amp, you don’t like the amp, you return the amp, we return your money.
Minds change, what sounds good at my place doesn’t sound so good in yours. That’s ok. As long as the amp is returned in the same condition that we sold it in, then, after a check-over, we’ll refund all your money*.
No restock fee. No, ‘you should have known 100 Watts is loud’. We want you to have the right amp for you.
*This doesn’t include any costs of shipping the amp to you, or you returning it to us.
A free tune up in the first 30 days
It’s like relationship councilling, but for amps. You buy the amp, you try the amp, you like the amp, but something isn’t quite right. A bit bassy, a bit harsh, it smells funny…
Whatever it is (within reason) we’ll be happy to listen to you and your amp. We’ll then work with you both to get you to your happy place.
30 day faulty valve replacement
Our amps are typically supplied with a mixture of the tubes they came with, ones pulled from other amps, or ones we’ve bought brand new/NOS.
So if a tube (or more) goes ‘pop’ in the first 30 days, we’ll replace it (or them) for free. We’ll also check the amp to make sure it’s not running hot or has any other issues causing the tubes to overheat.
30 day repair or refund for electrical or mechanical faults
Shit happens, things buzz, hiss and fail. So, if something isn’t working properly in the first 30 days, let us know, arrange a return, and we’ll sort it out. And if not, then it’s your money back.
If something happens after the 30 day’s, give us a shout and we’ll see what we can do. We won’t charge for an intial inspection, and we’ll keep subsequent costs (if any) to an absolute minimum.
If you can’t get the amp to us, then get us on the phone with your amp tech. We’ll be happy to provide schematics, build docs and run through what we’ve done.
Free 2 year service & check
Amps need love, care and attention. Just like you. But, one of the hidden costs of owning a tube amp is the servicing. Most people just don’t bother until something goes wrong, and thats when it can get expensive.
At T&T we offer a two year service & check on every amp we sell, for the rest of it’s (or our) working life. The only cost will be for any parts needing replacement & for any repairs outside the normal servicing criteria.
Approved modifications
Approved modifications are selected by T&T from
Ones included by the manufacter in later production versions (e.g. Fender Blues Junior III to IV).
Recommended/supported circuit modifications from amp gurus such as BillM, Frommel, Headfirst, or represent ‘best practices’ in audio/guitar amplifier design.
